Podium 4 Sport's Retail and Commercial divisions have been established for 30 years. At this time we have an 8000sq.ft. retail shop at Belfast that is arguably the best sports retail outlet in Ireland. We have a well earned reputation as a specialist sports retailer serving people who are serious about their sport. Our commercial division provides virtually every sports-related product required by schools, clubs and teams, leisure centres and fitness suites throughout Ireland.
Current vacancies:
We have been an established supplier to the ROI market for many years, with many high profile installations to our credit. Products and services include fitness equipment supply and maintenance, sports hall fit out, sports floor and playground marking, posts/nets/team shelters, and a huge range of general sports products and equipment.
We wish to continue our growth by establishing a base in the greater Dublin area. This is an important step in our long term development strategy. While the initial focus for the Dublin base will be on fitness equipment and sports hall fit outs, development of our catalogue product sales will follow. This post is therefore seen as a key appointment.
Key responsibility will be to proactively promote and sell our range of commercial products and services in ROI. Target audiences include schools, teams, clubs, hotels, and leisure centres. You will be expected to travel throughout Ireland.
You will need a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in selling into these markets. This should include decision making experience in pricing, tenders, ordering, project planning, supervising installations and maintenance. While it is preferable if this includes a sports related product range, personal attributes and experience in key markets are more important.
We aim to set the highest standards of customer understanding and engagement, and you should have a genuine desire to be part of that culture, and want to make a real difference.
Salary: dependant on the individual(s). Vehicle (or allowance), phone, laptop provided.
Our Commercial Division provides a massive range of sports equipment and services thoughout Ireland. Customers include schools, universities, councils, hotels, clubs and various other private and public organisations. We have vanancies in two key areas: -
Fitness Solutions: we have over 100 installations, for which we provide both planned service visits and maintenance callouts. In addition, we provide maintenance to domestic fitness equipment, both our own sales and third party.
Sports Halls/Gymnasiums: we supply, install and maintain most major items including curtains, partitions, basketball boards, scoreboards, wallbars and climbing frames, and court markings.
Key Job Tasks include installation, service and repair of a range of commercial fitness equipment including strength and CV equipment. Site appointments will have to be booked in advance and all relevant site record documentation kept accordingly. All work policies and risk management procedures in relation to health and safety at the workplace must be complied with at all times.
You should have a minimum of 2 years experience of maintenance or service work on electrical and mechanical equipment of some sort. This does not necessarily have to be on fitness equipment as product-specific training will be given. 'White Goods' repair experience would be appropriate for example. This role requires travel to work on customer sites throughout NI, so previous experience of working independantly in an environment where high standards of customer service are required would be useful.
